Why do i need a licensed guide in italy?

Given the fact that Italy has thousands of years of history and countless points of historical interest, it is essential that a competent professional makes the best use of your time here. Without a professional guide, one can only grasp the superficial significance of the area, its history, and its colourful inhabitants.

Are the prices per person?

No. The prices are for the carload, not per person..Example: if you are 2 and the price on the web site says: from 1 to 3 passengers = 500 Euro, it means that if you are 1, 2 or 3 you will always be paying 500 Euro. .Example. if you are 10 and the price on the web site says: from 9 to 14 passengers = 1.150 Euro, it means that if you are 9, 10,11,12 or 14 you will always be paying 1.150 Euro

How do I confirm the reservation?

Reservations are confirmed with a 20% deposit of the total service cost. Please Fill out the e-form to pay the 20% deposit and immediately receive confirmation for all of your services.

How do I pay for the services?

On the day of the tour the best form of payment is Euro, cash or credit card, (visa ,master card or amex).

It possible to prepay for all services?

It is possible to pay in advance, always fill out the e-form to pay the total amount and immediately receive confirmation of your services paid in full.

Is it possible to cancel a reservation?

Please note our cancellation policy: It is possible to cancel a reservation up to fifteen days before the date of the scheduled service(s) without a penalty. Cancellation from 14-8 days is 20%. 7-0 days is 100%.

In the event of rain or bad weather, will tours be cancelled and deposits lost?

Absolutely not. Tours may be modified to visit museums, churches, and other locations where touring can be done more comfortably.

In the event of rough sea conditions, will the tours be cancelled and deposits lost?

If you are host on an a cruise ship, that due to rough seas does not arrive in port or is late, you are not responsible, deposits will not be lost. If it is not possible to reach your booked destination, alternative services are arranged or you will have the right to a total refund.

How does one recognize their guide, driver, or assistant?

Guides, drivers, escort, or assistants will wait for you at the designeted meetin point, holding a sign with your name on it. Please Note: Clients traveling to the Naples train station: PLEASE GET OFF THE TRAIN AT NAPLES CENTRALE (ALSO KNOWN AS PIAZZA GARIBALDI), we will wait for you there. Napoli Centrale is the last stop for the city of Naples. If you have difficulty locating your chauffeur, please call us at 081 7513290 or 340 4605254( please add 0039 from outside italy) . Leaving your pick-up location, without notifying Mondo Guide , will result in a "no-show" charge.

Is it possible to request a specific guide , driver,or assistant?

All of our guide,assistant and driver staff is highly qualified. Some guests may choose to repeat an experience with a certain guide in particular. It is possible for us to do this, given advance notice and depending on that guide?s availability.

Drivers for transfer from/to port and airport

For these transfers we do NOT guarantee English speaking driver, as they are reserved for day tours and excursions only.

Entrance fee to the historical sites

If we book with you do we need to wait in line to purchase tickets at the vatican museums/sistine chapel or will that all be pre-arranged? if not, how long do you expect lines to be? Entrance fees to the historical sites are not included in our fees. We strongly suggest that all our clients pre purchase tickets to the vatican by clicking on the appropriate links website. Once you have purchased your tickets, please let us know the time and day that you have reserved. If you are booking a private guide with us, the suggested time to book the tickets would be morning time in between 9.30 am and 11.30 am. If these times are not available, in between 12.30 pm and 13.30 pm will work as well. I heard the vatican is closed on sundays does that mean you'll arrange to bring us elsewhere in rome since i'm assuming it will be unavailable? Please note that the vatican does not allow any pre-reserved entrance tickets on the last sunday of every month as it is free to enter and therefore, you may have to wait in line. Please keep in mind that this is always one of the busiest time to visit even though the vatican museum and the sistine chapel are closed , the basilica of st. peter's is always open so you will be able to visit it and if you are lucky enough you might be able to see the pope since he gives a blessing on this day.

Tipping is not included in our service fees,It is never mandatory although it is always appreciated. We do believe that if the clients have been happy with their service, the guide ,assistant and driver should receive a tip as a token of appreciation. Standard gratuities in Europe run between 10 % 25% depending on the service received.
