We offer a personal English speaking assistant and a private Taxi boat with Captain for the duration of the tour. Your assistant will be waiting for you in the hotel lobby or where needed, holding a sign with your name on it.
This excursion will allow you to discover the most famous islands of the Venetian Lagoon. You will visit a glass factory on the island of Murano and you will have the opportunity to observe the Maestri at work during a glass blowing demonstration. Glass production moved to Murano from Venice in 1291 when furnaces were banned from the city for fire prevention. The artisans have developed a unique style and world-famous reputation for producing blown glass.
Of course, there will be an opportunity to browse through the enticing display rooms where items may also be purchased. Arriving at Burano Island, you’ll step ashore for a visit to this colourful island, cheerfully decorated with brightly painted houses. Burano is well known for the art of lace making, fishing, and boat building. You will have time to stroll through the narrow streets and take the opportunity to purchase lace products from one of the vendors lining the path near Piazza Galuppi or to go looking for typical biscuits called "bussolà".
The islands boat tour is charming in all seasons, mysterious and suggestive in autumn and winter, bright and sparkling in spring and summer.
