We offer a personal English speaking guide for a six hour private walking tour of Florence. Your guide will be waiting for you by the main entrance to the Accademia Gallery or where needed, holding a sign with your name on it.
Our tour begins at the Galleria dell'Accademia, the museum which houses a number of Michelangelo's masterpieces, including the famous "David". From there, we go on to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore to see its crowning glory Brunelleschi's dome, Giotto's bell tower and the Baptistery of San Giovanni. Continuing through the medieval section of the city, we reach Piazza della Signoria which is dominated by the imposing Palazzo Vecchio, and here we find some of the city's finest sculpture.
Then we pass by the impressive Galleria degli Uffizi on our way to the Arno River and the Ponte Vecchio. In the afternoon, a visit to one of Italy's most important museums, the Galleria degli Uffizi, as well as a tour of the Church of Santa Croce to see the tombs of many famous Italians such as Michelangelo Buonarroti and Galileo Galilei.
